Dr. John Seitz, Sr.

Senior Pastor

Our beloved friend and pastor Dr. John Seitz Sr. passed away Thursday, June 20. Pastor John came to Antioch in 2000 and was in his twentieth year of servant leadership here at Antioch when he entered the presence of Jesus. His funeral Service was officiated by his close friend Pastor Greg Johnson.

Pastor John is survived by his wife, Gail; children, Hannah, Sarah (Tyler) VanWey, John Jr. and Rebekah; father, Paul Seitz; and brothers, Rob (Lisa) and Martin (Shirley). He was preceded in death by his mother, Norma.

John was born November 24, 1967, in Louisville, Kentucky, the son of Paul and Norma (Moore) Seitz Sr. He married Gail on May 20, 1990, in Joplin, Missouri. John graduated from Doss High School in Louisville. Pastor John received a Bachelor of Theology from Ozark Christian College, a Master’s Degree in Ministry from Cincinnati Christian University, and a Doctorate in Leadership at Trinity Theological Seminary.

John began his preaching ministry in Oklahoma and later in Kansas before moving to Marion in May of 2000, when he became Senior Pastor at Antioch Christian Church. He was a member of Blessings Ranch Board, Christian Evangelist Mission Board and Gospel Broadcast Mission.

Jeff Blackford

Executive Pastor

Jeff joined the Antioch staff in 2012. He and his wife, Robin, have three boys, Keaton, Kade, and Seth. Jeff has undergraduate degrees in Marketing and Business Administration. He also earned his Masters Degree from Lincoln Christian University. In his free time Jeff enjoys following his kids activities, attending sporting events, and spending time in the outdoors with his family.

Mark McCoy

Discipleship Pastor

Mark joined the Antioch staff in 2015. He and his wife Erica have five children. Mark has undergraduate degrees from Ozark Christian College in Theology and Biblical Literature. He is currently pursuing a graduate degree from Cincinnati Christian University in Leadership Studies. Mark loves listening to people’s stories, and he loves to walk with people as they grow into the amazing followers of Jesus and life-giving community that Jesus continues to create!

Chris Thomas

Outreach Pastor

Chris hails from the state of West Virginia. After spending over eight years in youth ministry and over four years as a Chaplain for hospice care, Chris joined Antioch’s staff in August 2016.

He is the proud father of Emerson. He earned a BS in Preaching and Bible from Kentucky Christian University and was awarded an MA in Theology from Pittsburgh Theological Seminary.

Chris enjoys a nice cup of tea, being on time for everything, playing basketball or poring over a crossword puzzle. He also spends a tremendous amount of time in the kitchen cooking and in antique stores trying to score a rare find.
His mission here at Antioch is to help people become connected with an awesome church, encounter Jesus in a life-changing way, and forge a legacy of love and faith in their lives.

Luke McCoy

Worship Pastor

After graduating from Ozark Christian College and interning at Southeast Christian Church in Louisville, Kentucky, Luke and his wife Audrey moved to Marion in 2006. They have four children—Corban, Abigail, Moriah and Eden. Luke received his Master of Arts degree in Worship Studies from Lincoln Christian University in 2013. He enjoys playing his guitar, hunting, fishing, camping, playing with his kids and spending time with Audrey. Luke feels his mission would be complete if he could inspire people to live lives of worship!

Gordon Kennedy

Children's Pastor

Gordon joined the Antioch staff in 2018. He is happily married to Patty, and they have a grown daughter named Paige. Gordon has a degree in pastoral studies from North Central University in Minneapolis.  He has spent over two decades working with kids and leading Children’s Ministries departments at the local church level. In his spare time, Gordon loves tinkering on cars and attending classic car shows. His greatest passion is leading kids to serve Jesus.

Evan Osgood

Youth Pastor

Evan joined the Antioch staff in 2014. He and his wife Katie have two boys, Jedidiah and Kayden. Evan has a undergraduate degree in Biblical Literature with emphasis in youth ministry and family ministry from Ozark Christian College. Evan has been serving in youth ministry for over 15 years. In his free time Evan enjoys hanging with his family, hunting, running, cycling, and anything outdoors.

Hannah Seitz

Youth Ministry Associate

Hannah grew up at Antioch, graduated from Ozark Christian College with a degree in Family Ministry, and joined Antioch’s staff in August 2017. She is excited to be a part of this incredible team, is passionate about working with students, and is excited to get to know yours!

Fran Guillaume

technical director

Fran joined the staff in May of 2014 after serving in a volunteer role for three years. He has been working with live stage productions for over 35 years and is impassioned that God has given him the opportunity to use that experience to support the ministries of Antioch in the form of technical arts. Fran has been married to his wife Cherie for over 30 years and they have four children Nathan (& wife Mickena), Parker, Chloe, and Noah and one grandchild Evelyn. Fran and his wife Cherie also own the Skillet Cafe restaurant in Mount Vernon which Cherie now operates. In his spare time he loves to still cook!

Adam Graunke

Oelwein Campus Pastor

Adam joined the Antioch staff in 2018. He and his wife, Heidi, have three children. Adam received a Bachelor of Theology from Ozark Christian College and a Master of Divinity from Cincinnati Christian University. He has served in youth ministry, preaching ministry, and two years of missionary work in India. He enjoys spending time with his family, reading, and watching football.

Dolly Brown

Office Manager

Dolly joined the Antioch office team in September 2008. She and her husband, Nate, have two married sons, Sam (wife Winnie), in New Jersey, and Jake (wife Winnie) in Green Bay. Jake has three sons, Ben, Aaron, and Colby, and a daughter, Abby. Since the youngsters live in Green Bay, there is a lot of missing the “grands” at their home. But their standard poodle, Lucy, and two cats, Mouse & Howie, help keep the home front full of activity when the grands aren’t around. Dolly and Nate are both Master Gardeners and miss their large hosta collection since moving to a condo. Dolly enjoys sitting on a mountain top soaking in God’s wonder, reading, traveling, working on projects, and being with family and friends.

Kim Miller

Administrative Assistant

Kim has been an Administrative Assistant at Antioch since April of 2001. She has lived in the Cedar Rapids area most of her life. Kim and her husband, Bob, are members of Antioch and have two adult sons, Gabe and Nick (wife Aubree). She enjoys music, traveling, camping and outdoor activities, crafting, and spending time with her family.

Beth Ngo

Administrative Assistant to the Lead Pastor

Beth joined the Antioch office team in December 2017 to provide administrative support to Pastor John. Originally from a suburb of Philadelphia, she graduated from Iowa State University with a B.S. in Genetics. She met the love of her life, Anh, at Iowa State University. Anh and Beth have two kids, Chloe and Liam. She loves all things administrative, including spreadsheets.

Tom grew up in Westerville, Ohio and joined the Air Force after high school. He later moved to Iowa and met his wife, Margaret. They started attending Antioch in 1984. Tom and Margaret have two grown children, Dean and Kathleen, and are also proud grandparents. Tom likes to build automobiles and is a fan of NASCAR and drag racing. He also enjoys fishing (especially in Canada), hunting, and studying the Bible.
Joel was born and raised in Waterloo, Iowa and moved to Marion in 1986. He and his family started attending Antioch in that year. He and his wife, Luann, have two sons, Curtis and Kyle. Joel graduated from Hawkeye Institute of Technology in 1985 and Mt. Mercy College in 1989. When not working, he enjoys spending time with the family, camping, boating and hunting.
